I read a lot of books last year, however, there are some that really stand out. I thought I’d share them here…
- The Mayfair Bookshop by Eliza Knight = I don’t do historical fiction all that often, however, I was glad I did with this book. This book peaked my interest because it is a book about books and about an author and about a bookstore….. But I found there was a so much more to this book when I read it.
- Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi = This is another book that was a little out of my comfort zone but I decided to give a shot after I spotted it at my local bookstore. If you enjoy fiction with some time traveling involved, check this book out.
- The Woman in Black by Susan Hill = I had been wanting to read this book for a while and I finally got around to reading it last year. I have watched the movie that is based on this book as well, however I liked the book better than the movie.
- The Secret of White Stone Gate by Julia Nobel = This boo is a sequel to “The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane”. The characters in this book may remind you of the trio from the Harry Potter series, particularly when they were younger. This would be a good book for your kids to read or for your to read with your kids.
