Books to read for Halloween…

If you are looking for books to read to get in the spirit of Halloween, then you’ve come to the right place. Yes, I know it’s just the first day of September….but I figured I’d give everyone time to hunt down the following selections from your local library or bookstore, whichever the case may be. Then you’ll have plenty of time to read them in October for Halloween.

If you are looking for a good ghost story/haunted house, then you might like this book. They also made a movie based on this book in 2012 if I’m not mistaken. So you’ll have a movie to watch after reading this if you are looking for anything to watch (either with friends or by yourself).

This book is a collection of short stories that will feel similar to the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” series by Alvin Schwartz. The stories within this book may be okay to read with your children if they aren’t easily scared and like this sort of thing.

There are several stories in this book that reads like a comic book. There are plenty of illustrations in this book to go along with the stories which give the stories even more of a creepy vibe.

This is kind of your typical haunted house story. I liked this book but it’s a really quick read. It may give you nightmares though. It does get straight to the point since it’s not a long read.

This book is another collection of short stories. You can read one or two at each night and it will last you a while. This book is more for adults though.

      2. The last couple of years, it has waited till February to snow/ice here where I live. The snow isn’t so bad…it’s the ice that makes things hairy. Especially if you can’t see it. I don’t mind that kind of weather as long as I’m stuck at home.

      4. Yes, it is. I love sitting at home and reading a good book, especially when it’s raining outside or it’s snowing.
