Okay…..I’m going to start off and tell you why I think literature is the secret ingredient. The following is stuff that I think makes literature the secret ingredient and you guys may have other reasons for this as well.
Like many of you, I enjoy reading in my spare time. I’ve always enjoyed reading. Even when I wasn’t old enough to read on my own, I enjoyed listening to someone read something out loud to me. But there are reasons why I enjoy reading.
First, it provides a source of entertainment. There is lots of things that can be considered entertaining and that can also vary from person to person. Reading just happens to be something I consider entertaining and something worthy of me spending my time on.
Second, it provides a way to relax after a long hard day at work. This can fall under why I consider reading as something that is worthy of spending my time on as well. It helps me get rid of bad stress and anything else that comes with it because it helps me to focus my attention on something else that is more pleasant or more enjoyable.
Third, I can share my reading experiences with other readers…..whether it’s sharing it here on my blog or it’s people I meet at the local book store or at the local library. Sometimes you can even spot some of these people out in public somewhere else because they have on a t-shirt that has a specific character on it, they may have a tattoo on them that’s in a visible place, etc. Anyway, I like getting to talk to other people who are avid readers like me.
