I read many different literary genres…..mystery, thriller/suspense, horror, historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, poetry, romance, crime drama, etc. I’ll even read young adult (teens) and children’s stuff if the story line is good and will hold my attention. I tend to switch back and forth all the time when I’m reading…..I never stay on the same thing for long.
However, I think my favorite has to be horror because that seems to be what I have the most off in my own personal library. At some point, I became interested in the horror genre. I think the first scary story I read was the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz. I also enjoyed telling ghost stories once in a while, if the opportunity presented itself. When I’d go camping as a kid, some of the other kids and I would tell scary stories around the fire (until we were made to go to bed).
