The Fireside Chats

I just finished reading this book and let me just say….this book did not disappoint. There was enough to keep me engaged throughout but there was enough to be descriptive and informative. I was really surprised by the end but I won’t ruin it for you for those of you that intend to read it.

I do want to make a note that this book would not be suitable for younger audiences. If you are an adult looking for a good book to read around Halloween or just want to get a good scare on, then you may want to pick this book up.

Synopsis: This House Is Haunted is a striking homage to the classic nineteenth-century ghost story. Set in Norfolk in 1867, Eliza Caine responds to an ad for a governess position at Gaudlin Hall. When she arrives at the hall, shaken by an unsettling disturbance that occurred during her travels, she is greeted by the two children now in her care, Isabella and Eustace.
