Believe it or not, but I enjoy it when it rains outside (as long as I’m not out in it). I believe a good rainy day makes for a perfect reading day, especially when it it storms a little. A little storm while I’m trying to read a horror novel (or even something a little suspenseful(, it seems to help set the right mood for that novel you’re reading. It enhances the reading experience……at least I think so.
During winter time, when it gets really cold out, I like to curl up on the couch with a nice warm blanket draped over me (and the cat sitting in my lap) while I read away. It’s nice to read while there is snow falling outside.
As far as my favorite environment to read, that’s always going to be at home. At home, I have more control over my surroundings than I do when I’m out in public. I can avoid a lot of noise and other stuff going on in the background if I just stay at home. And I’m not anti-social…..I just tend to be more introverted. I already have to go out and deal with the public on a regular basis when I’m at work, so I like having a little quiet time when I’m off work.
