Would you stop for 1 million dollars?

Would you stop reading for 1 million dollars?

This is a hard question for me. There is a lot I could do with 1 million dollars. I could pay off my house. I could buy a bigger house. I could buy a new car for myself and my hubby. I’d still have money left over even after all that. Even though my hubby and I do alright for ourselves, we’d be able to pay everything off with that 1 million dollars.

But loosing my ability to read……that’s something I find hard to comprehend. Reading is not only how I entertain myself during my down time but it’s also how I relax after a long hard day. In order to stop reading for 1 million dollars, I’d have to find an alternative that will keep me entertained and help me relax at the end of the day. Anyone have any ideas?

  1. Nope! Couldn’t do it. Although… would audiobooks count?

    1. That depends on if you count audiobooks as part of your reading because you’re technically listening to the books be read to you by someone else instead of reading a physical book or e-book yourself. And I don’t know if I could quite reading either.

      1. If audiobooks don’t count as reading then maybe I could do it…

  2. As much as one million dollars does sound amazing and it would help me so much with paying things off, I don’t know if I could do without reading, to be honest for the rest of my life.

It really depends on whether it was stopping reading all books including audio books or whether it was only stopping reading physical books. If it was all books both audio and physical then I would have to pass up the offer of one million dollars even though many would say I am crazy!
