Has reading ever gotten you in trouble?
There was a time, back when I was in elementary school, when I stayed up past my bed time to read a book. Now, I don’t remember what book I was reading, I just remember getting caught. Besides being up past my bed time, my dad lectured me on trying to read in the dark and how that would ruin my eye sight.
Other than that, I don’t remember ever getting into trouble for reading. If I was reading in class, it was because the teacher(s) allowed it. There were times when the teachers let us reading in class. If you happen to finish a test and some of your fellow classmates are still taking their test, normally the teacher wouldn’t care if you pulled out a book to read. It kept you quiet and you didn’t disturb those around you while they’re testing.
