Do you ever take a book with you when you go out in public? Why or why not?

If I’m going on vacation, I normally take my Kindle Fire with me. This way I can take a whole bunch of books with me without ot taking up very much room in my carry on bag. I’ll have plenty to read if I ever find myself with some down time. Like if I find myself in the middle of a layover at an airport, I can read will I wait to board the next flight. I only have to remember to take the charging cable with me (and not loose it).

If I’m running errands around town then it depends on what I’m specifically doing. If I go somewhere that I know I’m going to have to wait in line, then I might take whatever book I’m currently reading at that time with me. But it also depends on how long I will waiting in line. Some places I’ve taken a book with me as been while I’m waiting in the waiting room at a doctor’s office or waiting in line at the DMV are a couple of examples.
