The Fireside Chats

I remember wanting to read Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events”. But I wasn’t sure I was going to like the series or not and there are 13 books in total. So, instead of purchasing that many books and not finishing the series because I didn’t like them, I went to my local library to check them out. Now, at my library you are only allowed to check out 2 books at a time. So, I’d check out 2 books in the series and as soon as I finished reading them then I would return them to go check out the next 2 books in the series. I kept doing that until I got all the way through the series.

By the way, I did end up enjoying the series when I finished reading all of the books. I’m glad I did check that series out from the library though. 13 books in a series……that would have been a lot of money to couch up.

But that’s what I normally do. If I want to read something but I’m not sure I’ll like it then I’ll just go borrow it from my local library. That way, I’m not out any money if I don’t end up liking it.
