Books that should have their own tv show

What are some books that you’d like to see get their own tv show? Do you think other people would like that as a tv show (regardless if they were a reader or not)?

The Mordecai Tremaine series by Frances Duncan = This is a good series for people who are fans of Agatha Christie or for anyone who likes mystery in general.

The Black Hollow Lane series by Julia Nobel = Not only would I think this would be a good tv show, this would be a good show for kids. The main characters in the books remind me of the trio from the Harry Potter series (at least from the first couple of books).

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward = This is a book that I read recently but I could see this being a good tv show, however, this would be for mature audiences only.

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly = I read this book several years ago but I remember loving it so much (I still have my copy in paperback form). This is a wonderful coming of age story but I would watch it yourself (or read the book yourself) before letting the kiddos watch/read it.

  1. I think the ‘Molly Southbourne’ series by Tade Thompson could make a great TV series, maybe on HBO.

    1. I’ve never heard of that series. I’ll have to check that series out.

In all honesty, this doesn’t necessarily answer the question you have asked. However, I would say that the Goosebumps series should have a remake of their shows. They did a really good job to start out, but with filming capabilities today, I feel like they could make them much better. Goosebumps is by far one of my favorite horror book series.

    1. I remember reading a few of the Goosebump books when I was a kid. I wasn’t hardcore into the books as some people but I did read a few of them. I can see where they’d make a pretty good tv show now that you mention it.
