I’ve been hearing people talking about banning certain books (I’ve actually seen it on social media). At the bottom of this article I’ve attached a link to another article that explains why you should read certain books even though there are people trying to ban them.
I remember when the Harry Potter books where coming out, there were some parents that were trying to get it removed from the shelves at the school library because they thought it was teaching their kids witchcraft. There was a big stink being made about it then but I haven’t heard anything more about it now that it’s been about 15 years since the last book was released.
Are there any books at your school or library that have been banned? If so, which books and why are they being banned? Do you agree with the article below?
