This article is a list of cool bookish gifts to give/receive (regardless of the occasion).
First thing I like to give/receive is a gift card to the local bookstore. This way, I can purchase whatever I want. If I’m not happy with my purchase, then it’s my own fault because I got to pick it out. You can also do this if you are gifting and you don’t know specifically what the person has or doesn’t have in their possession.
My hubby has been purchasing the illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books each time a new one is released. He usually gets it for my birthday or for Christmas…..whichever happens next after it’s released. I have the illustrated editions of the first four books. The illustrated copy of the fifth book is suppose to come out in October so we are getting closer to having the whole series. I’ve also bought illustrated copies of the Harry Potter series for other people who I know are Harry Potter fans.
Something else I like to get is one of those Funko’s of my favorite literary characters. I have several Funko’s of some of the Harry Potter characters and I have one of the wrestler Andre the Giant. But if you are gifting to others, it can be easy to gift if you know they have a favorite character. I’ve gotten a couple for my husband over the last couple of years.
I also have a couple of book related blankets. Some I’ve bought myself and some have been given to me over the last few years. I can’t have too many blankets, especially during the winter time. My feet get cold easily but I can remedy that with a blanket.
I also have a t-shirt that was given to me that reads, “My weekend is all booked” with some books in the middle of it. A bookish t-shirt might be the way to go if the person you’re buying for likes to wear t-shirts.
