Time to read

Sometimes, finding the time to read can be difficult. When I was in school, I always carried a book around with me in case I had a few extra minutes at the end of class and needed a way to entertain myself (this was the days before there were e-readers and tablets that you could use to read digital books on). I always try to read before going to bed. Even if I don’t get the chance to read all day, that’s my one moment of quiet time where I know I can have a minute to read, even if it’s just for a chapter.

Bookstore

I often end up visiting my local bookstore whenever I need that next book in the series or someone recommends me another book. If I get it from the bookstore, then I can keep it as long as I want to and don’t have to worry about taking it back. Generally, I like not having to rush through a book. However, I do tend to browse through the bargain section first just to make sure that there’s not something that I can buy at a cheaper price before I go looking around the rest of the store.

Library

Now, if I want to read a new book but I’m not quite sure if I’ll like it or not, then I’ll end up going to my local library and just borrow it from them. That way, if I end up not liking it then I’m not out the money for the book. I did this with “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” series. I would check a couple of books out at a time and as soon as I would finish them, I’d return to pick up the next couple of books in the series.
