3 Ways Reading is More Refreshing Than New Socks

Okay, I know the title might seem a little bit odd but I hope that you’ll enjoy this article anyway.

First, I’ve always enjoyed reading because it allows me to travel to new places without having to leave the comforts of my home (and I’m sure it’s a lot cheaper than actual travel as well). I’ve been to Hogwarts, Panem, Middle Earth, Narnia, and I don’t know how many other places thanks to having a book in my hands. You can even go back and revisit these places as many times as you want to.

Next…….reading has helped me to shed my daily stress. Because of the previously mentioned idea, I have been able to leave behind and forget any stress I’ve accrued throughout the day. Yes, reading can help you get him mind off things, even if it’s just for a little while. I normally like to read in the evening time, right before I go to bed (if nothing else).

Last, but not least, is you can actually learn new things when you read. Whether you’re learning a skill or learning a new language or learning about a place, there are many different ways in which you can improve yourself and your life. Even if you’re reading fiction, there are times when you can unexpectedly learn something, like how to empathize with other people.
