Do you see yourself dating/marrying someone that doesn’t read?

Do you see yourself with someone that doesn’t read? Why do you think it will or won’t work?

Now, I can normally talk my husband into watching a movie based on some form of literature. He can give up a couple of hours to watch a movie and more often than not he’ll end up liking the movie. But my husband has never been a reader the whole time we’ve been together but that’s never had a negative impact on our relationship. My hubby has always liked watching tv when he gets home from work and I prefer to read. Now there are other things we like to do together since he isn’t big on reading. We do normally like to watch the same movies (most of the time) as an example. Another example is we normally like doing the same thing when we’re on vacation.

What about you? Do you and your significant other enjoy reading? What do you and your significant other enjoy doing together?

  1. My husband doesn’t read either! And we don’t share the same taste in movies, haha. We enjoy the outdoors together 🙂 You definitely don’t need to have *everything* in common.

    1. I think it’s good that a coupe share a few things in common. But I agree with your statement about a couple doesn’t have to share “everything” in common. You can love someone and not have the same interests in every single thing.
