Meet your favorite author…

If you got to meet your favorite author in person, what would you talk about? What questions would you like to ask them?

I would probably like to talk to author Christopher Paolini who wrote the Inheritance Cycle. I’d like to ask him some questions if I ever got to meet him. If I ever did get the chance to meet him, I hope that I wouldn’t sound too nervous or forget what I want to ask him. Besides asking him the following questions, I’d probably want to ask him to autograph my copy of the Inheritance Cycle.

  • How did you come up with the idea for Eragon?
  • Who or what inspires you to write your stories?
  • Where do you go to write?
  • What made you want to become an author?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • Where do you like to go to read?
  • Which authors are your favorite?

    Personally, I would love to learn more about them as a person. Talking about their craft and their work is completely fine. However, there is something very special about better understanding an individual based on what they share regarding their experience. I think this is why I enjoy biographies so much, particularly autobiographies of famous people because it gives me a glimpse of their reality and their truth and that in itself is very inspiring.

    To answer your question though, suggestions I would add:

    Thinking about your most difficult period of your life, what piece of advice would you give your readers?

    What is the one book you would say changed your life and why?

      I love your answer. My only problem is I don’t want to invade their privacy too much. I’m a person that likes my privacy and I don’t want to be too invasive. So, if they didn’t want to answer questions about that then I wouldn’t be mad.

    I am a big fan of Stephen King, would love to be able to read his mind however one of the first questions i would ask is (where do you get all of the ideas), thinking about getting into his mind it may scare.

      I wouldn’t mind talking to Stephen King either. You know Stephen King has a son who is an author as well? He writes under the pen name Joe Hill. You should look him up if you like Stephen King.
