Movie better or worse….?

How often do you watch a movie that is based on a book you’ve read? Do you feel that the movie is better or worse than the book? Why do you feel that way?

I’m always watching movies based on a book I’ve read. I would say this applies to most of the movies I watch. I normally watch the movie AFTER I’ve read the book. I don’t want the movie to ruin the experience of reading the book. I would say the book is better than the movie 99% of the time. It’s very rare for me to like a movie more than a book.

Normally I can’t get my hubby to read, however, I can normally get him to watch the movie with me. For instance, he’s watched all the Harry Potter movies with me, including the ones in the Fantastic Beasts series that they’ve made so far. He can deal with a movie for a couple of hours. He can deal with that more than he can deal with the time it would take for him to read the book.

  1. My favorite movie is the original ‘Let the Right One In’ and it is SO much better than the novel it’s based on, no comparison. It’s quite the anomaly.

    1. I’ll have to agree with you on that. It’s very rare for me to find a movie that is better than the book it is based on.
