New Year, New Goals!

First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy New Year. I know 2020 hasn’t exactly been the best year with the Covid-19 pandemic going on. Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year. So……do you have any reading goals for this year? If so, what are they? Any particular reason why you chose that particular reading goal?

In the past, I’ve only tried to challenge myself to read more than I did the year before. While that’s not a bad idea, I wanted to do something a little bit different this year. I want to see if I could read some things that are outside my comfort zone….books I don’t normally read on a regular basis. Normally I read fiction (horror, mystery, thriller/suspense, crime drama, fantasy, etc.) but I think I will try to read some other things. Maybe I can try to add some poetry or some classics to my regular everyday reading.

I’d love to hear from other people about their reading goals for 2021. You can post a comment below if you’d like and tell me what your reading goals are. I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Fun post! It’s always great to get out of our comfort zones. Try some poetry, it can be more fun than a lot of people may think! I am hoping to read some true-crime this year.

    1. I think I’m going to try both….I’m going to try the poetry and the classic. Kind of see which I like better. Or maybe I’ll end up liking both.

Happy New Year to you too! 2020 was not the best year so glad to see it gone.

My aim this year is to try and start a new book every two weeks or so. I started with Obama’s new book and am just currently looking for my next read – hopefully I can keep motivated all year round.
