Locke & Key

We officially have a date now! I just found out that Locke & Key, best selling graphic novels by author Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez, is getting a tv show that will air on Netflix on February 7th, 2020. I can’t wait to start watching it.

There have been rumors floating around for years that they were going to turn Locke & Key into a movie, at one point they had it planned out to do a trilogy. But that idea got canned and they went with a tv show. They did a pilot episode for Locke & Key and they aired it at Comic Con several years ago (I want to say back in 2011). It got good reception when they aired that but I was beginning to think we were never going to get the show until now…

    I am pretty sure it was thanks to this blog I learn about Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez works and how much I absolutely needed to add Locke & Key to my bucket list. I still haven’t read the original material but this news makes me happy and it is not long to go now.

    I definitely want to give this a watch whenever I can afford to subscribe again to Netflix. It is pretty cool that they got the Tv show and it is so close to the air. I really hope it does well and it is done faithfully enough to the original material and enough input from the creators.

      I would recommend reading the series whenever you get the chance. Comic books isn’t something I normally read, however, I took a chance on Locke & Key because it sounded interesting and I’m glad I did. Let me know if you get to read the series or watch it on Netflix.
