A childhood favorite

When I was a kid, one of my favorites was “Where the Red Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls (as seen below). It’s a wonderful, heartwarming tale about a boy and his two hunting dogs. I think I may have even read this book more than once. I know they made a movie based on this book quite a while back. I’m kind of surprised they haven’t done a remake yet. Hollywood seems to like rebooting things as of late. Anyway, if you like tales about the bond between man and dog, this would be a good book to read.

    Oh, I’ve never heard of this book before, but being Mexican I guess that is not saying much, haha.

    Any story of friendship, even when it is between a human with his pets has my attention, furthermore if it is a promising adventure. Seems like a nice book to get lost into a take for an afternoon or two.

    If the book is not underrated, I am sure it is just a matter of time before we get some remake, or have someone change the plot slightly and release it with a different name.

      I loved this book as a kid. Of course, I’ve always been an animal lover so it’s no surprise that I enjoyed this book. I’m sure I’d read it again one day because I think it’s a classic. I just have to get through a bunch of books that I’ve already got on my books shelves.
